What is a Lesson note?
Lesson note in its actual term is a written teacher’s work and activities prepared strictly for a supervisor. In Nigeria, a lesson note is also the same as a lesson plan only that it is to be submitted to a supervisor. So a lesson note is an outline of the activities, aims and objectives of a proposed class. It’s always a chore for teachers to write (Teachers don’t like it).
Lesson Plan
A lesson plan is a step by step list and explanation of a proposed lesson. It includes aims, objectives and the activities to be carried out. For a person to become a Teacher in Nigeria, he /she would need to know how to prepare a lesson note.

Here is an example of a simple lesson plan example for kids:
- Lesson: Electronics found in the Home.
- Objectives: To educate Students about the Electronics in their home.
- Materials: Textbooks, Writing books and Pens.
- Procedure (Here are the steps under procedure).
- Warm up : Ask the Pupils to sing a song they learned on the Television.
- Activity, as listed below.
- Ask Students what they know about Electronics.
- Explain what an Electronic is and give examples.
- Ask Students to give examples too.
- Ensure all students are carried along and nobody is left out of the class
- Ask the Quiet Students and encourage them when they answer.
- Homework: Learn and take note of the Electronics in your home and ask your parents what they are used for.

- Reference materials: This could be Textbooks, Newspapers and any other source of information;
- Instructional materials: Chalks, Boards, Markers, Projector, Laptop and any other item used to impact the knowledge;
- Objectives;
- Instructions;
- Entry Objectives: This is a referral to the last topic or checking of previous knowledge;
- Lesson Content: This includes notes to be taken, notes of the lesson and the body of the Topic;
- Evaluation Questions;
- Conclusion.
